My Fender DeVille
uses a pair in the same configuration, and they are capable of driving
you from the room at only half volumn. RCA and Leo Fender knew
what they were doing, in fact, 6L6's are one of the few tubes that are
still made today, by two Russian companies, and a Chinese firm. The
inside poop is try to get new old stock GE 6l6's made prior to l980.
Some old milspec pulls are available and worth considering when retubing.
