This radio is the same model that starred in Jean Shepherd's movie "A Christmas Story" 

Produced about l938, this radio was the top of the line
from the RCA factory in Camden, NJ.  It contains 16 tubes, 15 pilot lamps, about 12 gears in the motor drive tuner.

Not only can you heat your house with the calories radiating from the tubes, but the case is large enough to live in!
The set features a 15 inch ported speaker.  Bass response is phenomenal.
